Kadodo Drum & Dance is delighted to present another South Island Retreat, held once again in an idyllic valley at the Little River Campground near Christchurch!
This is an amazing opportunity to experience the pure joy of expressing yourself by exploring and creating African music. You will also get to discover the flavours of West Africa during our fully catered community dinners.
We are truly fortunate to have gathered an incredible team of dynamic and experienced teachers who will enrich your knowledge, encourage and extend your abilities more than you can imagine. These include:
Koffie Fugah (Ghana/NZ) – Master drummer and dance
Kofi Shabba (Ghana/Melbourne) – West African dance, dundun dance
Abli Nii Otu Laryea (Ghana/Melbourne) – Master drummer
Kwame Tosuma (Ghana/Melbourne) – West African dance
Lala Simpson (Madagascar/Wellington) – African singing and dance
Ra McRostie (NZ) – African dance
Pablo Salas (Chile/Nelson) – Afrocuban dance
Dave Edwards (NZ) – Kamele Ngoni expert
Plus: Yoga by Kotte (Kotte Aguilar – Chch)
There will be workshops on African Drumming, African and Afro-Cuban Dancing, combined with traditional African and Madagascan Singing and Dance, and even the chance to learn the Kamele N’Goni!
This camp has the potential to be life changing for all who attend, all of the supportive positive people like you who are part of the Kadodo community.
