If you find yourself hankering to let the good time’s roll after the daytime festivities are over then look no further. Blue Smoke have the evening covered with two of this years festival highlights performing live for your foot loose, do right, alright, party pleasure.
Jed Parsons & Friends will kick off the evenings entertainment (8:30pm) while Lisa Tomlins and her band The Presidents of Funk will bring it on home (from 9:30pm).
This year Cassels & Sons are proud supporters of the Nostalgia Festival 2018, and have brewed a limited edition Ale for the occasion. Cassel’s ‘Nostalgia Summertimes Ale’ is a seasonal brew inspired by the long golden days of summer and the joyful revelry that comes from hearing live music. There will be plenty on tap at the After Party and The Brewery will be offering up their wood fired pizza menu to keep your appetite satiated throughout the evening.
LISA TOMLINS & THE PRESIDENTS OF FUNK perform an authentic program that will take you back to the 60’s & 70’s, paying tribute to one of the true icons of Soul; The Godfather, James Brown. Esteemed vocalist, Lisa Tomlins is backed by some of Wellingtons finest musicians.
With members from groups such as Hollie Smith, Richter City Rebels, The Jac, Lord Echo and The Rodger Fox Big Band, this lineup is sure to bring the funk.
Prepare your ears and your dance moves for some of the most soulful songs on the planet. Incorporating tunes such as ‘Sex Machine’, ‘Get Up Offa That Thing’, ‘I Feel Good’ and ‘Papa’s Got A Brand New Bag’, this show has something for everyone! Don’t forget your dancing shoes.

Having toured extensively with multiple projects throughout New Zealand and internationally, multi-instrumentalist and singer / songwriter Jed Parsons’ unique concoction of indie pop music is the culmination of a diverse musical background.
Joined by a core 3-piece band and featured session players, Jed Parsons & His Friends bring their sing-along melodies, sweet harmonies and solid grooves to the party – a treat for all to enjoy.
Blue Smoke will be open from 7:30pm so feel free to come along early and get the party started.
