Simone East is a Sydney based songwriter who is visiting Christchurch to make her debut album with Ben Edwards at The Sitting Room. ???
Catch this rare opportunity to see her perform at Blue Smoke’s much loved Sunday Sit Down afternoon concert series this July.
Simone songs of heartache and thwarted dreams are paean’s to those with little left to lose. Blending ‘shimmering Country–Soul with a 70’s cosmic groove’– Post to Wire. East is joined by guitarist Daniel Babekuhl (The Maladies, Not Good with Horses and Jason Walker) who weaves an interstellar haze around East’s voice of heartbroken resignation.
Our gifted chef, Michael Maguire creates a roast meal each Sunday from locally sourced, seasonal ingredients and serves it out of our beautiful AGA kitchen, 5pm onward.
We recommend making a table booking; our roast is proving to be very popular as it’s delicious and reasonably priced to boot.
For only $20 (kids $10) you get a delicious meal that includes two kinds of roast meat cooked to tender perfection, chef-concocted salad, piping hot winter vegetables, all the condiments your heart could desire AND a dessert!
