A Thursday Noise Situation is a monthly event showcasing a variety of experimental, ambient, noise, and art music. Ranging from traditional rock-band line-ups to a person with a drill. A Thursday Noise Situation – Strings Speak Mountains, Coelacanth, Celebrity Death Machine
Join us at darkroom from 8pm, 26mar for out of towner Strings Speak Mountains, and the return of Coelacanth, and local heroes Celebrity Death Machine. Strings Speak Mountains is an experimental pursuit, using noise as therapy. Mixing ambient washes of guitar & vocals, with blistering distortion & pleading screams. Under the mountain of distortion, pray for the amplifiers to sing us to sleep. Coelacanth: Stepping on the line and frequently crossing it between guitar based atmospheres and noisy electronics. Fazed On A Pony – Swan – Album Release Tour w/ Pickle Darling
Fazed on a Pony is embarking on a nationwide tour to celebrate the release of their new album swan, out January 23 2026 on Melted Ice Cream and Meritorio Records. Pickle Darling (who recently released their excellent album 'Bots') will be opening the show. _ Fazed on a Pony is the recording project of Tāmaki-based songwriter Peter McCall.
