EMWA Bio:
Emma “EMWA” Davies, an emerging force in New Zealand’s electronic music scene, has been steadily building a name for herself since stepping onto the stage. Not only has she performed at some of the country’s top festivals, but she has also shared the spotlight with major artists such as Dillon Francis, Quix, What So Not, Getter, and Rezz, winning over crowds and earning respect from both fans and industry veterans.
In July 2020, EMWA dropped her debut single, Crush, which marked the beginning of a string of releases that have garnered praise from some of the biggest names in the industry, including Zane Lowe, Dillon Francis, and New Zealand’s leading electronic music station, George FM. In February 2023, Rolling Stones Australia featured EMWA as one of the artists to watch, solidifying her place as a rising star in the scene.
With her distinct bass-driven sound, EMWA has developed a loyal fanbase that connects deeply with her music. As 2025 unfolds, she continues to build on her momentum, kicking off the year with a release on Alison Wonderland’s FMU Records titled Greatest, a collaboration with New Zealand bass music legend Quix. She also continues her monthly residency on George FM and is gearing up to release a series of fresh tracks that promise to take her sound to new heights.
