Alice Tanner presents a collection of original songs; some newborn, some reimagined, and all driven by a new sense of boldness and self trust. Many of these songs were birthed in moments of curiosity, following them til she found somewhere to stay. Nothing was made with a preconceived vibe, genre, or theme, and each lyric is a page ripped from “a sad handwritten notebook”, crossed out and rewritten, til it feels perfectly imperfect.
A rare re-entrance from her cocoon back into the world, not as some pretty butterfly but as a cute caterpillar, wide eyed and green but ready to see all the humans! This music feels like a true expression of herself, with elements of jazz, orchestral, and folk, sprinkled with a good dollop of her own soul. Joined by some beautiful souls and friends; Heather Webb, Darren Pickering, Mike Story, Mitch Thomas + special guest kittens.
