Backyard Davey is one of the many personas of Christchurch Musician David Thorpe – AKA Li’l Chuck The One Man Skiffle Machine, David Thorpe Harmonica and many more. He is a veteran performer and spent well over a decade in Christchurch’s rollicking Irish combo The Black Velvet Band. ?
