ÆON:MODE

ÆON:MODE is the brainchild of Australian Born, Denver based Producer JP Orchison, best known under his primary moniker, Blanke.

The Blanke project has found global success focused on Dubstep, Mid-Tempo and Melodic Bass, with Sold out Headline shows across North America, Europe & Australia, Festival appearances at the likes of Lollapalooza, EDC Las Vegas & Hard Summer, over 75 million Streams on Spotify alone & collaborations with superstars like Zeds Dead, Seven Lions, REZZ & Illenium.

ÆON:MODE has allowed the producer to thrive in a lane of Drum & Bass that calls to early age influence from acts like Pendulum and Sub Focus. After D&B focused Blanke Singles ‘Alchemy’ & ‘Mystery’ hit #1 and #2 most played at triple j radio in Australia in 2021- the ÆON:MODE project was born to support a string of Drum & Bass focused performances in his native Australia under the ‘Blanke Present’s ÆON:MODE’ stage name.

In 2023, following the global success of The ÆON:MODE Remix of Ray Volpe’s bass anthem ‘Laserbeam’, the ÆON:MODE project was given a life of its own. The Remix has clocked over 6 million streams on Spotify alone, and landed in the top 10 most played Drum & Bass tracks of 2023 on 1001 tracklists. It has seen live support from the likes of Sub Focus (who put it in his Radio 1 Essential Mix), Chase & Status, Andy C, Wilkinson, Dimension, Bou, Metrik, Culture Shock, Koven and many more.

‘Awake’, a collaboration with Metrik (who is a long time influence on Orchison), followed soon after, landing on renowned label Hospital Records as a single to Metrik’s forthcoming album.

The ÆON:MODE live experience has seen the DJ/Producer hit Red Rocks Amphitheater in Denver, Melkweg in Amsterdam, ‘Its the Ship’ Festival in Singapore, Rampage Open Air in Belgium & Listen Out Festival in Australia, alongside a host of other festivals in North America. It also garnered direct support slots for the likes of Andy C, Zed’s Dead & Chase & Status on their headline shows throughout 2023.

At The start of 2024, Orchison embarked on his ‘Earth To The Stars’ Headline Tour across North America, playing 2 sets in one night as both Blanke & ÆON:MODE, at iconic American Venues like The Midway in San Francisco, Ogden Theater in Denver & Webster Hall in New York City.

US/European Summer this year was a standout moment for The ÆON:MODE project. Performances at Tomorrowland Belgium, Nature One Germany (as part of the famed Rampage brand Stage takeover) EDC Las Vegas, Beyond Wonderland PNW, Bonnaroo Festival (as part of the Chase & Status Curated stage takeover) Forbidden Kingdom Orlando were highlights, as well as hosting his own ÆON:MODE present’s stage at the Deadbeats Jamboree in Dallas Texas. In September, he hit the road again, this time as part of Pendulum’s US Tour, hand picked as direct support by the band he idolized as a young producer starting out.

2 standout releases for 2024 arrived towards the end of summer, the long awaited collaboration with D&B legend Friction called ‘State Of Mind’ landed in July via Zeds Dead’s Deadbeats imprint, followed by his debut release ‘Lonely’ on Wilkinson’s Sleepless Music. Forthcoming releases via UKF and a collaboration with Koven will round out the year.

The as yet unreleased ÆON:MODE remix of Odd Mob & Omnom’s hit ‘Losing Control’ was played by House superstars Dom Dolla & John Summit as the closing record in their huge Back to Back set on the Outdoor Stage of Coachella weekend one this year, further showing that Drum & Bass is truly having a moment & expanding its reach all across the United States.
