Deep Water Creek at the Sunday Sit Down

After the release of his self titled debut album over a year and a half ago, Matty Smith returns to the stage with his new band of talented musicians – aptly named Deep Water Creek.

There is a suggested ‘Koha’ entry for this event – we encourage you to support the musicians and pay what you can afford.

The band will be playing songs from Smiths first album and also road testing new and unreleased material. Basic demo recordings of these new songs are underway and this is a chance to see Deep Water Creek in their first public show!

His new direction encompasses both the old and the new Matthew Smith. A mix of his early rock influences with his love of alt-country and folk give way for a dynamic live show and a sophomore album in the pipeline. Someone recently called his new direction ‘Sonic Country’.
