DESCRIPTION:Join us for the 4th annual Ōtautahi Christchurch Echo Chamber* – a night of celebrating our music community as local bands take to the stage to cover songs by other local bands! \nFeaturing sets from:\nKWASI\nMENTAL JOY\nS.E.I.S.M.I.C.\nSENTIENT MUD\nSTONECHILD\nTHE WENDYS \nSat Sept 28th\nDarkroom\, 336 St Asaph St\nDoors 7:30pm\nFirst band 8pm sharp \n$15 tickets from Under the Radar\, available from August 30th\, or\n$20 on the door on the night if not sold out prior. \n*This event was formerly known as Circle Jerk\, but is back this year under the new moniker of Echo Chamber.\nThe history of NZ Circle Jerks dates back to 2005\, when a bunch of Kirikiriroa/Hamilton bands – pissed off at the lack of acknowledgment of their city’s music scene from the likes of NZ Music Month – decided to host their own event in celebration of the Hamilton music community. The event saw local bands playing covers of songs by other local bands\, and it quickly became an annual tradition\, with 10 Hamilton Circle Jerks held over the years. Ōtepoti/Dunedin and Ōtautahi/Christchurch have also gone on to start their own version of the event as well. \nR18. R.O.A.R. \n
