Dress ups are extremely encouraged and a prize goes out to best dressed. ‘Girls in Space’ is the theme\, and whatever that means to you is the way to go… See you there! \nWe are so thrilled to announce the line up for volume 04 –\nFrankie & The Teardrops\, Holly Kimber\, and Sister Act! \nGirls In Space will blast you into its own sparkly stratosphere for a night like no other – don’t miss out on this incredible experience! \nFrankie & The Teardrops:\nBorn out of sheer desperation to dance on stage like a silly goose\, with a full noise hyper fem band painted in pink and all shades complementary\, the Teardrops are a fun loving yet rebellious party. They sing and play for all humans\, no matter what style\, whatever vibe\, there’s a song for you and all your pals! Alt pop turns danger disco\, the Teardrops have a bad bitch only brass section to send you into the night with hooks that you just can’t get out of your head. You’ll be singing about skater girls (okay fine… boys too)\, cheap thrills and being good at parties\, what does that even mean!? Inspired by Chappell Roan\, Sabrina Carpenter\, The Velvet Underground \, we love life and we love you. \nSisterAct:\nSisterAct is the DJ project of Otautahi-sisters Georgina and Kerryn Lyes. A mainstay at Craigslist parties\, these two bring a deep musicality and contagious energy to the booth with song-based\, open-format DJ sets; simultaneously eclectic and widely danceable. This approach has had a positive reception\, leading to appearances at Electric Avenue\, TwoMinds festival\, MetroTango\, and various club nights and events around Christchurch. \n28th June – Space Academy – 8pm\nTickets are $20 online\, or $25 on the door – see you there! \n
