His track “Ass-N-Titties,” released on his own Jefferson Ave label, is a testament to his influence, featuring in the film 22 Jump Street.

DJ Assault, also known as Craig Adams, emerged on the Detroit music scene in the mid-1990s, initially gaining attention through his unique fusion of electro, hip-hop, and house music. His pioneering contributions began with the influential “Straight Up Detroit Sh*t” series, which helped define the Ghetto Tech genre characterized by its fast tempos and explicit lyrics.
Recognized for his innovative approach and high-energy tracks, DJ Assault swiftly became a central figure in the Detroit electronic music landscape. His impact expanded significantly with the launch of his own label, Jefferson Ave, where he continued to push boundaries and release groundbreaking music. This move solidified his status as a founder across the Ghetto Tech, Booty Bass, and Ghetto House genres.
