DESCRIPTION:From small town Hororata\, nestled in the glowing rivers and mountains of Canterbury\, Holly has become a well recognised name in the live music scene. Her musical career began nine years ago in her final year at Rangi Ruru School\, guided by Otautahi musician Henare Kaa (Dillastrate\, H’Kaa) singing covers which then lead to being the front woman of the high-energy covers band Chilton House. This group had crowds dancing until the small hours of the night in iconic venues such as Fat Eddies and The Church \nIn 2022\, she turned a new page\, shifting focus to original music and creating a new sound that is her own. This evolution began alongside ARoad guest Sam Bambery\, who has since taken his music to Naarm (Melbourne) Holly now performs with a powerhouse trio of treasured friends and Christchurch musicians: Samuel White\, Leo Suggate\, and Austin Standeven. Holly has a tale to tell and does it with a full-bodied indie sound\, streaked with psychedelic influence. This concert will offer a stripped-back\, intimate set\, weaving in the stories and meanings behind the songs. \nFresh from a creative trip to Melbourne\, Holly and her band are inspired and excited to share the music with you. \nARoad House Concerts are a very special opportunity to hear musicians play their original music\, up close and personal.
