SUMMARY:Kauranga Oro – Week Of Port Noise
DESCRIPTION:Join Erika Grant and Ariana Tikao for a transformative experience that merges the ancient healing power of taonga puoro with the deep resonance of gong baths. In this special event\, the voices of te taiao\, our atua\, and ancestors come alive through the sacred sounds of taonga puoro\, guided by the gentle yet powerful energy of Hine Wai Ora. This feminine energy of the atua wahine\, symbolizing connection and release\, blends seamlessly with the harmonizing vibrations of the gongs\, creating a profound sense of relaxation and wellbeing. As the soothing tones wash over you\, you’ll enter a state of deep calm\, allowing tension to dissolve and mental clarity to emerge. The therapeutic sounds foster a powerful healing space where wai\, waiata\, and karakia coalesce\, offering not only an immediate sense of peace but also lasting benefits such as improved sleep\, reduced anxiety\, and an enhanced mood. \nThere will be cups of tea and food afterwards for grounding. \nAriana has 20 years experience as a taonga puoro practitioner\, and a diploma in rongoā from Te Wānanga o Aotearoa\, specialising in the hauora benefits of taonga puoro. \nErika Grant is a musician and astrologer based in Te Whanganui-a-Tara. She has 30+ years of musical experience. Erika has an interest in the healing properties of sound for mental and physical wellbeing\, which she currently explores through her gong bathing practice. \n
