The Organic Jazz Band
The Organic Jazz Band was formed to perform regularly at the local vegetable market gig as known as ‘Vege gig’ years ago comprises of Nanako Sato on Key/vox, Rachael Traville on Saxophone and Victoria Knopp or Russell Steadman on Bass.
While the regular gig concluded its phase, we still have our sound remained and also in order to capture our sound, we released an album ‘Blue Skies’ in 2014.
The bassist Knopp has been making music in Canada with her husband as a duo called ‘Response’ and came back to Christchurch a couple of years ago.
The OJB has been reunited this year to do some gigs and shows like Eats and Beats Festival. The band will be performing another show in August at the Nut Point Centre. The OJB is excited to perform for you at the Jazz After Work series in July.
