SUMMARY:Sean Cunningham (Atlas)\, Emla Palmer (Binds) and Moses Emmanuel
DESCRIPTION:Chart-topping singer-songwriters combine forces for a unique acoustic set this summer… \nChristchurch show = Friday 31 January from 8pm at A Rolling Stone\, Christchurch. \nSean Cunningham\, former frontman of kiwi band ATLAS (2005-2009)\, returns to Aotearoa this January. \nReturning to Christchurch\, who better to help Sean celebrate this anticipated ‘homecoming’ than acclaimed singer-songwriters Emla Palmer and Moses Emmanuel. \nLike Sean\, Emla is another early 2000’s front woman\, from successful alt-pop rock outfit Ivy Lies. And Moses Emmanuel\, having also been an early member of Atlas\, House of Mountain and many other Christchurch acts\, is one of Canterbury’s most cherished songwriters and performers. \nTheir set at A Rolling Stone will be a very special musical experience\, extremely limited tickets\, ensuring a bespoke intimate show. \nSean’s New Zealand return will see him visiting the places and people that played an important part in his life during those hectic Atlas years. In between these private reunions will be gigs in small intimate venues dotted across the North and South Islands. \nBest known as frontman for band Atlas (2005-2008)\, with their chart-topping single ‘Crawl’ still the longest-running number one hit in Kiwi history. Sean has been living and developing his craft as a solo artist on stages across Europe and North America from his hometown of Nashville\, Tennessee. \nHis first visit to his second home\, Aotearoa\, coincides with the release of his 2024 solo album and title track ‘Whatever that is’. \n“I couldn’t be more excited to return to Aotearoa after so many years and with these shows I truly get a unique\, intimate opportunity to share my stories through both new songs and old familiar favourites.” – Sean Cunningham \nJoin Sean\, Emla and Moses for a special night of songs\, old and new at Christchurch’s premier songwriter venue A Rolling Stone. \n
