The Penny Blues Band: ‘In Blues We Trust’
South Street Trio
Three past and present students from the Ara Music Arts Jazz School, Christchurch. Cameron Walsh (Guitars and Vocals), Sam White (Bass), and Euan McTaggart (Drums) have come together to create the South Street Trio. Performing Blues, Funky Blues and a mix of everything in between. Every week, South Street Trio strive to do their bit to help keep the New Zealand blues scene alive.
The GiddyRobins Trio:
Influenced by Muddy, Buddy and the Kings,Ray,Cray,and all the Bob’s, 70’s Afro funk, down-home Texan Country rock and healthy doses of whiskey, the trio are forging a new form of foot-stomping, barrel-house, dancefloor madness. Blu Step. Mr Robbie ‘blue-stroke’ Giddens (Guitar/Vocals) Furious ‘lemonfoot’ G. (Drums) and Mr Fickle Fingers (Bass) pay homage to the greats whilst applying an organic, gluten-free mixture of space and intensity
