Otautahi’s home grown grim hop threat Slimivich is primed and ready to unleash hell on Christchurch when they return to deliver their brand of grating Electro-Punk and Rap inspired, barely suppressed rage to the Darkroom stage, July 29th.

The last show of their triumphant inaugural national tour in support of the release of their punishing new single “Grind”, the boys will be joined at Darkroom by Tamaki Makaurau Hip Hop big stepper Swizl Jager, new Otautahi progressive metal super group Apherion & fresh Fillipino/NZ Nu Metal revivalists Bandemic.

Is the eclectic new project from seasoned Ōtautahi metal vocalist Slim Jenkins and drummer Mo Galloway of Tainted infamy. APHERION
A new name in Ōtautahi alternative metal, a four piece packing some of the most experienced heavy musicians in the heavy music scene with a rich history performing in local acts such as Deceive the Sky, Lebowski, Echolypse, Arcadian and many others.
This emerging project has been taking influences from everywhere as the members inspirations and experiences have only broadened over their years. The members of Apherion are looking forward to beginning the journey of sharing their music in 2023 and beyond.

BANDEMIC
Filipino numetal band from Christchurch, New Zealand, formed in 2020 during the Covid pandemic. The band consists of lead vocalist Kris Saquin, guitarist Jeff Solis, guitarist Oliver Calabon, bassist Tristan Tapang and drummer Welcie Castalone.
In October 2022, the band was one of the grand finalist for the New Zealand Battle of the Bands Grand Finals which was held at The Valhalla Wellington, New Zealand. The band was also nominated “The Best Songwriters” award on that same night.
Currently doing gigs around Christchurch alongside other rap/rock/metal acts, creating and soon to be recording new songs for an upcoming EP.
