Sunday Jazz With Heather Webb And Friends

Come and join us for some top class jazz led by guitarist, composer and educator Heather Webb. Heather will be joined by Darren Pickering (piano), Pete Fleming (bass) and Jono Blackie (drums). They will be playing original instrumental jazz from Heather’s quartet Resolve, and from Darren’s quartet Small Worlds.

Heather is a guitarist, composer, and educator, highly active in the Aotearoa jazz and theatre scenes. She leads her own groups, The Stick!, Triangulation and Resolve, is a regular member of the Christchurch Symphony Orchestra, The Free Theatre, The Court Theatre and Showbiz and has performed at multiple NZ Jazz Festivals and Arts Festivals.

Darren is a Jazz Pianist/Composer/Educator, Keyboard Session Musician, & a Modular Synthesist. His current projects include ‘Darren Pickering Small Worlds’ (cinematic jazz quartet) & various solo electronic ambient EPs. He is also a current member of the bands ‘Bits Of Beck’, ‘Swim Against The Tide’, & ‘Wulfie’.
