Get ready for a night of hard-hitting choruses and melodic interludes as darkroom welcomes a lineup crammed with musical energy! Voodoo Bloo make the trek down to ?tautahi Christchurch to play alongside local favourites Marsha and the new kids on the block, The Layarounds.
Voodoo Bloo
A powerful indie-rock-driven project, led by Rory McDonald, Voodoo Bloo is influenced by harder-hitting acts such as Deftones and System of a Down, as well as some singer-songwriter artists such as Car Seat Headrest and Neutral Milk Hotel. This brings a great blend of emotional and conceptual songwriting with a very catchy and frequently danceable distorted mess.
Marsha
Keep your fingers and toes inside the vehicle for these post-punky darlings from ?tautahi. Slamming down a mixture of shimmering riffs and bruising energy, Marsha invites you to let loose and enjoy the ride. Just don’t get too close!
The Layarounds
Fresh off the back of their first gig, The Layarounds are keeping the good times rolling with energetic instrumentation and big choruses you can get lost in. Featuring ultra-collaborative originals where each member’s signature is stamped, and danceable covers from across the indie landscape, The Layarounds are fun for the whole family!
