W.I.S.O. ( The Waiheke International Soul Orchestra ) have shared the stage with NZ acts such as Yoko Zuna, Sorceress, Latin Aotearoa, P-Diggs and Sunshine Sound System, headlined nights at The Christchurch Jazz & Blues Festival for The Blue Note Series, Okere Falls Strong Beer Fest and Sun Sets Festivals and return this year to headline Okere Falls Bierfest with the Miltones.
They last visited the hallowed stage of Blue Smoke two years ago for the Cavell Leitch Jazz and Blues Festival and return to catch up with all the new friends they made the first time around. It’s going to be 2 hours or more of non stop dance floor action with the full 7 piece live band including live percussion, the sexy and uber-talented ladies of WISO (Dione Denize and Ely Xir) and enough heat from the stage to expect a visit from the local fire station.
W.I.S.O. is a multi-genre defying act that have released three singles this year including the electro/soul OUTOFTIME (featuring Bianca Du Bont), hip-hop/r’n’b THETHRILL and drum n bass track INLOVEWITHMYENEMY (featuring Nikki Ngatai). They pride themselves on a minimum of two hour stage shows or more and ensure crowds everywhere are there for a good time.
