Who better to experience taking back the stage with than their best mates in the music scene\, up and coming rap duo Champion Sound and long time big dogs in the canterbury music scene\, Lunar Intruder. This show is located at the Loons in the music capital of Canterbury\, Lyttleton. The Loons is known for its amazing sound system and this gig is not one to be missed. \nChampion sound are a producer and rap duo that have both released tunes on spotify\, and have impressive gigs behind them individually (such as various Flux gigs\, Hide gigs and Electric ave). They have joined forces recently to create an even better sound. The sound of Champions so they say. \nLunar Intruder are up there with the hardest working bands in New Zealand. Lunar Intruder are constantly releasing new music and have a plethora of shows with big shots in the Australia and New Zealand music scene such as Mako Road\, The Terrys\, The Grogans and more. Monk Seals have been playing with and around Lunar intruder since 2020 and one thing is for sure and that is they always amaze and are always constantly improving. \nMonk Seals are a four piece crew of wild\, psychedelic personalities. Beyond their larger than life charisma\, they are all passionate about music and entertaining as many people as possible. Their new single Feel For You is a compelling track that gives a fresh track that brings a fresh flavour to the long forgotten sound of rock & roll. The Lyrics deal with the topic of shame and reminds people that no matter what we are going through\, we are all in this together. Feel For You is a track that Monk Seals are extremely proud of and cant wait till it comes out on the 16th of Febuary. DESCRIPTION:San Francisco artist/producer MICKELSON kicks off his inaugural tour of New Zealand and Australia with a special show at the epic Wunderbar with local rockers PATIENTS supporting. \nScott Mickelson is an artist/producer from San Francisco. His debut release Flickering was on the Grammy ballot for Best Folk Album and Best Roots Music Performance. His follow up full-length A Wondrous Life received great reviews in the US and abroad which led to his first European tour in 2019. He then produced the critically acclaimed Blanket The Homeless benefit compilation which included Grammy winner Fantastic Negrito. \nIn 2020\, Mickelson released Drowning In An Inflatable Pool to rave reviews in the U.S. and Europe. The first single\, “Jagged Tooth” was accompanied by the fantastic animated video. In 2022\, his single/video “UNarmed American” premiered on Americana U.K. and he was invited to play three nights at The Mavericks Festival in England. The full length Known To Be Unknown (April\, 2022) featured the iconic track “UNarmed American”. In November\, 2022 the band released “Only Grey Matter Boiling In My Head” which included the XTC’s Colin Moulding on bass.
