His music has been released on Soul:r\, Samurai Music\, Hospital Records and his most recent album “Wild Grace” was released on Lenzman’s emergent The North Quarter label. His music is regularly supported by many of the scenes biggest names including Calibre\, Lenzman\, Hybrid Minds\, LSB\, DJ Marky\, London Elektricity and many more.\nFor a career of over ten years’\, Tokyo Prose has a succinct and carefully managed back-catalogue of music. He has a deliberate\, restrained\, and soulful production style with a firm focus on musicality and groove. Tokyo Prose started his career on Samurai Music with 2011’s ‘Introducing Tokyo Prose’ EP that featured the breakout tune “Saving Grace”. In the same year\, Tokyo Prose with Fis went onto launch the Samurai Horo label including the track “The Truths” which featured on Forrest Swords’ 2018 DJ Kicks compilation.\nIn 2014 Tokyo Prose released his debut album ‘Presence’ on Samurai Music. ‘Presence’ marked the culmination of his musical exploration and evolution up until that point – encapsulating the soulful\, emotive vibrancy of the Tokyo Prose sound\, now fully formed and refined. The album included several features with DRS\, Riya and Fox on vocals and Lenzman\, Synkro and LSB on co-production.\nSoon after saw his first feature on Marcus Intalex’s hugely respected label Soul:R with ‘Tell Me’\, on the 5th edition of the popular Fourfit series.\nTokyo Prose’s sophomore album on The North Quarter ‘Wild Grace’ delivered a masterclass in emotive musical storytelling. The project features some of his most sought-after works including the popular ‘Innate Motion’\, ‘Trick of the Light’ and ‘Brilliant Corners’. ‘Innate Motion’ was also featured in Calibre’s BBC Essential Mix.\n

SUFFOCATION have achieved death metal perfection. \nSUFFOCATION were founded in Long Island\, New York\, in 1988. Since then\, they released foundational classics like Effigy of the Forgotten (1991)\, Breeding the Spawn (1993)\, and Pierced from Within (1995)\, with post-reformation slabs of savagery Souls to Deny (2004)\, Suffocation (2006)\, and Pinnacle of Bedlam (2013) proving death metal was not only SUFFOCATIONs to own but that it also continued to be a viable art form. To date\, theyve played over 2\,000 shows\, giving audiences from the United States and Germany to Australia and Brazil unforgettable blasts and trademark slams. Truly\, the groups global influence is unmistakable and undeniable. Hymns from the Apocrypha isnt merely another album from the New Yorkers but a statement of intent. SUFFOCATION always have been and are here to slay. \nSUFFOCATION took about a month and a half to record Hymns from the Apocrypha. They holed up at Hobbs and Boyers InLine Studio in Long Island. The duo engineered and co-produced with Christian Donaldson (Beneath the Massacre\, Ingested)\, who was also re-enlisted to mix and master\, with Dominic Grimard (Cryptopsy\, Shadow of Intent) assisting. If Breeding the Spawn was Suffoations production nadir\, then Hymns from the Apocrypha is arguably the groups strongest-sounding\, most sonically punishing album yet. From the growling bass and inhuman vocals on Perpetual Deception to the merciless guitar crunch of Hobbs/Errigo and rapid-fire drumming on Embrace the Suffering\, SUFFOCATION have achieved death metal perfection. \nWith stunning cover art by Greek illustrator Giannis Nakos (Vomitory\, The Crown)\, Hymns from the Apocrypha is characteristically SUFFOCATION.
