SUMMARY:Digital Love - Ft. David Juno + Dj Illiter@te + Elliot Tierney
DESCRIPTION:Digital Love is back in the swing of things after our short hiatus during our move to beautiful Ōtautahi/Christchurch! \nOur new friends at Two Thumb Brewery reached out to us wanting to set the vibe for their Manchester location and we couldn’t not say yes to the opportunity! \nThis will be the first of possibly very many more Digital Love shows with Two Thumb so we are hoping to get a lot of participation so we can continue to raise funds and awareness to local and national NZ charities/organisations! That is our goal with every Digital Love\, so attendance is the best way to show support! For this one we are proudly supporting Christchurch City Mission! \nUsually we would charge at the door and half of the entry would go to the charity\, but for this event we’re making it FREE to maximise attendance\, with donations being collected via the Karma Keg that Two Thumb will have set up on their bar\, so proceeds from sales of that keg will go to Christchurch City Mission! So come in for free and have a beer going to a good cause! \nWe have a stellar lineup for you all for this edition of Digital Love\, featuring a budding Ōtautahi/Christchurch artist originally from Southern Germany\, the sonic bending David Juno! \nHaving just come off his normal festival antics\, he has an impressive list of festivals he’s played at including Splore Festival 2023\, Shipwrecked Festival 2021 & 2024\, Relish Festival 2023\, Kiwiburn 2021 and 2023\, Abracadabra Festival 2021 & 2024\, and Rhythm & Alps Yumm Zone 2023. You won’t want to miss the unique charisma that this man brings to the decks\, truly a hypnotic and uplifting experience! \nAlong side David Juno we have DJ Illiter@te\, Digital Love’s newest resident DJ! Elliot Tierney had the privilege playing alongside him last time he was visiting Christchurch before moving here\, and they got along like 2 peas in a pod. Mixing for hours on end going b2b with all sorts of ranges of genres and music\, the two became instant friends\, so it only felt right to include him in the show! Welcome to the family DJ Illiter@te! \nFinally\, Elliot Tierney will also be at the show of course\, running the event side and also laying down his collection of funky/groovy house tracks that is sure to tickle your earbuds with delight. \nDigital Love NZ events are all inclusive events created by Music Lovers\, for Music Lovers.\nPlease respect the performers and Two Thumb Brewery Staff.\nSee you Digital Lovers on the dance floor! \nDJ BIOS \nDAVID JUNO\nOnce upon a time\, a young man named David Juno from the green and mountainous lands of Southern Germany first felt the soul-stirring beats of melodic deep house\, downtempo\, techno\, and the spectrum of electronica in the unassuming town of Jena. Over the years\, he has refined a collection of music imbued with the distinct taste of his European realm. Now\, residing in the distillery of cultures that is Aotearoa/New Zealand\, he concocts harmonious brews that enthrall listeners at large and small gatherings; clandestine woodland rendezvous; thundering\, pitch-black basement blowouts\, light-speed gigs aboard gleaming spaceships\, and even interdimensional\ncelestial soirées. He has become a familiar face at XCHC\, Ōtautahi/Christchurch\, holding court both behind the turntables and on the dance floor\, and a cornerstone in the mysterious outfit known as Mary Hush. \nDavid Juno is a sonic conduit\, channeling the energies of spectators and dancers\, linking them to the symphony of sensations\, emotions\, and the cosmic tide that characterizes the human odyssey. His sets oscillate between the blackest voids of space and the blinding brilliance of distant supernovas\, with all the celestial nuances in between. \nInstagram: https://www.instagram.com/davidjuno_/\nSoundCloud: https://soundcloud.com/davidjuno/ \nELLIOT TIERNEY\nOriginally from the US\, Elliot now lives in Christchurch\, New Zealand. As the Founder and Director of Digital Love NZ\, he has organized Digital Love events at bars and venues in Central Otago\, particularly Wanaka and Queenstown. He has performed at festivals like Rhythm and Alps and local gatherings by Soundation crew\, Big Ol Bush Doof\, and Big Tuna\, showcasing his musical skills in genres like Deep House\, House\, Tech House\, Techno\, and Breaks for more than a decade.\n\n \nDJ ILLITER@TE\nA.K.A. Thaddeus Mongillo\n“Tune selector of infectious driving dance grooves and providing a high energy atmosphere on the dance floor.”\nThat’s how Thaddeus describes himself as a DJ. With a love for the 4 on the floor and break beats\, you can be sure to hear him throwing down deep\, delicious\, and funky tracks. He quickly fell in love with DJing\, and from the very first show he went to\, he knew that music and the DJ world was going to be apart of his life in a big way. From there he started his expedition into the electronic music world. After some time exploring different music genres he found a love for throbbing deep baselines and funky vocal hooks\, landing him in foot-shuffling genres like house\, tech house\, bass house and breaks. \nHaving played in many different venues from small private functions\, to playing support for headlining international acts in front of massive audiences\, Illiter@te is no stranger behind the decks. But when he’s not playing music you can find him in his production studio working on his own flavour of house music to add to the world. \n“For me\, it’s all about the mood of the crowd I love seeing when my music transforms a dance floor into this amazing atmosphere of smiling faces and moving feet…It’s truly is magical. ” \nhttps://www.mixcloud.com/thadd…/techmesuave-illiterte-mix/ \n

SUMMARY:Saurian - Down At The Crown | Single Release
DESCRIPTION:Saurian\, the octopedal rock unit from Dunedin are set to release their engaging new single\, ‘Down at the Crown’ on May 3. This is the second song to be released from their upcoming EP. It’s a tune celebrating the legendary venue\, the Crown Hotel which has been the cornerstone of the Dunedin music scene for decades. The song also aims to highlight the fears that residential development in Dunedin’s CBD threatens our beloved music venue. \nTo celebrate the release of ‘Down at the Crown’ and spread the word of this great venue\, Saurian is going on tour hitting Christchurch on May 18 at the Darkroom! \nTickets $10 at Eventfinda or $15 on the door. \nOf course Saurian can’t celebrate alone! We’ve got I See Tomorrow and Hoihoi performing too for an excellent night of music down at the Darkroom! \nSaurian opted for something special for the artwork for ‘Down at the Crown’ and involved Austin Milne who had created an incredible comic strip about the Crown Hotel previously. The artwork features the iconic venue with its owner (and local legend in his own right)\, Jones Chin outside.k \n
