SUMMARY:Old Mervs - How The Fark Are Ya - Tour
DESCRIPTION:Lifelong friends Henry Carrington-Jones and David House (Old Mervs) grew up together on farms outside of Kojonup\, a tiny town approximately three hours south of Perth\, Western Australia. As high schoolers they cleared out a stable to use as a rehearsal space for their new band\, named after one of Henry’s family farm working dogs. With Henry on drums and David on guitar/vox\, it was truly humble beginnings. \nNowadays\, Old Mervs are considered one of the most exciting rock acts in Australia. Breakout singles ‘Cellphone’ (2020)\, ‘Where I Go’ (2022)\, and ‘Sweetheart’ (2023) have been streamed in the millions; while their second EP\, Give It Up (2023)\, debuted at #2 on the ARIA Australian Albums chart; and in January ‘Sweetheart’ landed at #47 in the 2023 triple j Hottest 100. \nThe duo has supported huge international artists\, including Liam Gallagher and The Wombats\, as well as local heroes Spacey Jane and King Stingray. They also boast a dedicated fanbase of their own\, having sold out multiple national tours and performed heroic appearances on premiere festival line-ups\, including Splendour In The Grass\, Groovin the Moo and Yours and Owls. \nThey’re set to play the biggest shows of their career in 2024\, when they embark on their ‘How The Fark Are Ya’ tour across Australia and NZ\, this August and September. \n

SUMMARY:Seafog With Coal
DESCRIPTION:Dunedin Band Seafog coming up to Christchurch to play with Coal. \nSeafog are performing songs from their new album this August 17th at Pearl Diver in Ōtepoti and 31st at Space Academy in Ōtautahi. Having received some exceptional press\, the band is over the moon with the work that Thomas Bell has done with the production and recording\, the band thought time to deliver. \nSeafog\, a four-piece band hailing from Koputai\, Ōtepoti \, has been active since 2006. Over the years\, the lineup has seen changes\, often performing as a trio with Martin Sadler\, Nigel Waters\, and Robin Sharma. They’ve released three albums under Austrian record label Zelle: Raise Your Skinny Fist\, Dig it on Up\, and Animal Lovers. However\, their latest release\, Slow Death\, represents a significant evolution with the addition of bass player Andrew Barsby. This marks a new chapter for the band as they continue to leave their mark on the music scene in Port Chalmers and beyond. \nLooking ahead\, there will be special guests to be confirmed closer to the event to join in the celebrations. \n
