SUMMARY:Groove Armada Tickets
DESCRIPTION:One of the globe’s biggest electronic dance acts GROOVE ARMADA will be returning to Aotearoa\, taking their dance floor anthems to CHRISTCHURCH TOWN HALL in CHRISTCHURCH on THURSDAY\, MARCH 6 2025 and TSB ARENA in WELLINGTON on FRIDAY\, MARCH 7 2025. \nFor over two decades GROOVE ARMADA has been established as one of the planet’s best loved and biggest selling dance acts. Since debuting in 1997\, they’ve proved that it’s possible to bravely explore a multitude of sounds while achieving critical and commercial success. It’s a trait that is apparent within a selection of their best loved songs. From the dancehall dub of ‘Superstylin’ to the crossover pop of ‘Song 4 Mutya (Out of Control)’ and from the dancefloor-igniting ‘I See You Baby’ to the woozy sunset vibes of ‘At The River’\, Groove Armada have consistently and uncompromisingly followed their own vision. \nWhat the duo – Tom Findlay and Andy Cato – have achieved must’ve seemed unthinkable when they first met at university back in the nineties: three UK Top 10 albums; three Grammy nominations; a BRIT nomination; and a succession of hit singles that are still being discovered by new fans to this day. Despite having formed a quarter-of-a-century before streaming exploded\, they still command the attention of almost two million monthly listeners at Spotify. They’ve also collaborated with or remixed countless high profile artists\, notably Madonna\, Paul Simon\, Fatboy Slim\, Calvin Harris\, Neneh Cherry and Bryan Ferry. \n

SUMMARY:High Altar - Adoration Of The Mystic Lamb Tour
DESCRIPTION:HIGH ALTAR is a two piece semi-improv instrumental assemblage. Made up of Taipua Adams (Terror of the Deep\, The Perms) and Brendan Moran (Hasselhoff Expt\, Subliminals\, etc)\, they play what they refer to as ‘neon jazz’; lifted from the imaginings of Jello Biafra on the Dead Kennedys track ‘This could be anywhere…’\, he vocalised ‘no amount of neon jazz could hide the oozing vibe of death’. \nTogether as HIGH ALTAR they form an intense crackle of aural expression vis-a-vis a devotional offering of spectral sounds capable of evoking womblike warmth and cavernous dread. \nRequiring only rhythm section components built on a bare-bones structure of electronic timbre\, this potent audio tool of a personal liberation alights a crooked path across musical\, religious and subcultural frontiers. \nHIGH ALTAR embark on a quick sojourn through the country companioned with prismatic special guests. See them on the following stages: \nFeb 14th – Cupid Bar Auck w/- O/PUS\nFeb 15th – Underworld Tavern Wgtn w/- The Beach Balls\nFeb 21st – Paisley Stage Napier w/- Double ya D\nMar 6th – Wunderbar w/- Moider Mother\nMar 7th – Pearl Diver Dunedin* w/- LSD Fundraiser\nMar 8th – Lyttelton Coffee Company^ – on the bill with Japan’s Deathro. \nBlessed be the sacrilege. \n*Dunedin show at Pearl Diver – entry is free / koha \n
