SUMMARY:Sly Chaos (NZ)
DESCRIPTION:SLY CHAOS IS BACK! The Auckland duo making noise across the Drum & Bass scene makes their return to Hide for one big send this Anzac weekend! \n  \nHide Club | 172 St Asaph Street \nThursday 24th April | 7:00pm – 12:00am (ANZAC EVE) \nSupport from: Grey Matter\, Touch Point\, Judge B2B Razz \n  \nABOUT SLY CHAOS: \nSly Chaos\, a dynamic Drum & Bass duo consisting of Conor Till and Michael Enderby\, hails from Auckland\, NZ. With impressive speed\, they have climbed up the ranks and gained a reputation for themselves. Collaborating with prominent promoters around New Zealand\, they have shared the stage with the biggest names in the Drum & Bass genre\, including Andy C\, Friction\, Pendulum\, Hybrid Minds\, and Wilkinson\, just to name a few. \n  \nThe duo continued to rise after their standout performance at Rhythm & Vines\, propelling them into 2019 with two weekly residency shows on New Zealand’s prominent electronic music station—George FM (a residency they still hold to this day). The year 2020 proved to be a game-changer as they headlined the Heineken Stage at RNV and performed at six main festivals in New Zealand\, including the Jungle Stage at Northern Bass. They also opened for Friction\, Sub Focus\, and Dimension at a sold-out warehouse show\, which drew the largest indoor audience for a Drum & Bass gig in NZ’s history. \n  \nFast forward to 2024\, and the duo shows no signs of slowing down. They released their debut track four years ago\, and since then\, they have dropped over 25 new tracks\, eight of which have made their way into the NZ Top 20 charts. Two of them were remixes released on Warner Music for Harper Finn and Pacific Heights & Stan Walker. Furthermore\, they released a remix of Muroki’s Introducing on Universal Music and collaborated with their friend Intercept on the European label Eatbrain. The lads dropped a big tune over on Viper Recordings at the end of 2023\, and most recently\, they just released a collab over on Device Records. \n  \nWith countless tracks and collaborations in the works\, multiple tours on the horizon\, and their debut in Australia already accomplished\, it is safe to say that 2024 will be their biggest year yet. \n

SUMMARY:!!! Cuticles / Moider Mother / Folina E Vili !!!
DESCRIPTION:“a brilliant album of anabolic\, raw & classic kiwi power-jangle. An instant classic.” Byron Coley on Cuticles Siltbreeze lp \nsocially awkward ranting\, the frustration and nitpicking\, bring to mind other obvious masters of the ‘underground man’ form\, like the Sleaford Mods or The Fall. The Cuticles are completely non-derivative\, however; they are far too defiantly unfashionable to be anything other than sui generis….This is true punk\, in which lacking pretension is the purpose and the meaning. Stripping away social form and artistic polish leaves the only artifice remaining an attempt at honesty. – Maryann Savage on Cutciles lp \nTake a pinch of Raincoats\, add a tablespoon of early Swans\, sauté in the first Stooges album and add half a brick. Put it in a sock. Bon appétit! — Bruce Russell\, The Dead C on Moider Mother \n
