SUMMARY:Haven: Boris (de // Berghain) // Keepsakes B2b The Rat // Mapmaker
DESCRIPTION:With the sun disappearing and the cold season setting in HAVEN are here to tempt you in to the warm embrace of the Galaxy Arcade for a special sweat session with one of our most beloved international artists… \nIt is our pleasure to invite Berghain resident and Berlin queer icon BORIS back to the arcade floor after his Ōtautahi debut with us last year. Influenced equally by the industrial club-land of Berlin and the joy and community of legendary NYC clubs Paradise Garage and The Loft\, his playful style and infectious energy have earned him an international following in the queer scene and beyond. His scorching techno sets have led to long-term residencies at the likes of Faust Soul\, House of Mince in Sydney\, and at his home-base of Berghain. Anyone who caught his set last year knows how special this will be – no one knows how to whip a dance-floor in to euphoria quite like Boris!! \nKick-starting the floor for the evening we have Mapmaker – who’s recent sets at the likes of TwoMinds Festival and the Utopia Pride closing party have been 2025 local musical highlights for HAVEN HQ – alongside a b2b from residents The Rat and Keepsakes. \nHigh quality audio provided by 03 legends Subtle Sound System… \nFREE EXPRESSION ENCOURAGED // COME AS YOU ARE\, ACCEPT AS THEY COME \nIN ALPHABETICAL ORDER: \nBORIS (DE // BERGHAIN)\nKEEPSAKES B2B THE RAT\nMAPMAKER \n9pm-2am // Friday May 23rd // Galaxy Bar\, 206 Barbadoes St \nRespect the venue\, respect the DJs\, and respect your fellow dancers. We have zero tolerance for any racism\, sexism\, homophobia\, transphobia\, ageism\, or any other forms of prejudice in the club. The same goes for any creepy\, abusive\, or violent behaviour\, unwanted touching\, or harassment. Photography is also banned from our dance-floor – be in the moment and respect people’s privacy. \n

SUMMARY:Craze (US) & Dillinja (UK)
DESCRIPTION:Dillinja & Craze are coming back to Christchurch! \n  \nHide Club | 172 St Asaph Street \nSaturday 24th May | 9:00pm – 2:00am \nSupport from: RYDR & ARTEMIZIA \n  \nCRAZE \nIf the first thing you know about Craze is that he’s the only solo DJ to win the DMC World Championships 3 times over\, prepare to get yourself schooled. \nBy the age of 20\, Craze had won his first DMC World Championship. Two more consecutive wins later\, he was (and remains to this day) the only three-time winner of the world’s most respected international DJ competition\, the DMC World Championship – earning the attention of Time Magazine who proclaimed him America’s Best DJ. \nAfter touring with Kanye West\, Craze founded Slow Roast Records with Kill The Noise\, an imprint of the infamous Fool’s Gold Records (A-Trak\, Kid Cudi\, Danny Brown). \nAs if that wasn’t enough\, in 2015 he brought us one of the most prolific DJ routine videos to date: “New Slaves”. \nWith greatness at the forefront of all Craze does\, in 2016 he started a DJ super group with Four Color Zack – 2¢\, with the primary goal of creating and presenting the most exciting DJ show on the planet. Since then they have been taking their brand of witty wordplay and impeccable DJ skills to the masses through their mixtapes and live shows which can be summarized as a true tour de force. \nAlways humble and putting the performance above all else\, Craze has earned his place as an international ambassador of the art of real djing. \n  \nDILLINJA \nOne of the more prolific producers in jungle music — with records on over ten labels strong\, two of them his own — Dillinja is one of the few drum’n’bass artists who spends more time in the production studio than in clubs. While living in Brixton in the early ’90s\, he became tipped to jungle by DJ Bryan G\, who lived around the corner from him. Fascinated with the sound of drum’n’bass\, Dillinja began recording in 1991\, releasing tracks on Cybotron\, Intelligent IQ\, Conqueror\, Logic\, Lionheart\, V\, Philly Blunt\, and his own Deadly Vinyl label. In 1994\, he recorded “The Angels Fell” for Goldie’s Metalheadz label and became one of the hottest names in jungle. With his friend Lemon D. (who has also recorded for Metalheadz)\, Dillinja formed Valve Records\, a label that expanded the drum’n’bass aesthetic to include elements of ancient analogue sequences. Though he signed to the major label London for a long-term contract\, a planned LP was dropped and he continued producing multiple singles for the Test label during 1998-99. ~ John Bush\, Rovi \n
