SUMMARY:Lewis Parke - The Halloween Bash
DESCRIPTION:Local acts ‘Lewis Parke’\, ‘King Tides’\, ‘Burning Monk’ and ‘Sleep Deficit’ are taking to the stage this Halloween weekend. Offering a showcase of original and covered material\, from some of the hottest upcoming musicians in Ōtautahi. \nSaturday 1st November – Doors 8PM @ Wunderbar\, Lyttleton\nFIRST RELEASE TICKETS AVAILABLE \nAttendees are encouraged to dress up in the most horrific and vile costumes that can be worn (in public). Worst dressed on the night wins a guitar signed by all the bands and will be announced by yours truly. \nA little bit about the music… \n‘Lewis Parke’ is an upcoming indie songwriter\, he brings a unique crock pop of his own original music\, featuring lush vocals\, deep riffs and a really good drummer he abducted called Ralph. He was previously known as ‘Newz’ and has been on smoko for the last year\, but HE’S BACK with a fresh catalog of songs\, so undeniable even gramps will get down….. supposedly. \n‘King Tides’ are a young indie band emerging out of Otautahi\, blending beautifully crisp guitars\, smooth vocals and a beachy indie vibe. They released their latest single ‘Saluna’ in June of this year\, and will be playing first in our lineup. \n‘Burning Monk’ are a four piece metal band. Their music spans across numerous heavy genres and their chemistry is unmatched\, bringing a backlog of original material and a amplified stage presence. Hearing protection required for this act. (trust me) \n‘Sleep Deficit’ are an indie folk rock 4 piece hailing from Otautahi. 2 highly contrasting vocalists and very eclectic songwriting influences result in a sound as distinctive as it is compelling. \ntickets available @ under the radar \n
