A Thursday Noise Situation
January 31, 2019 @ 8:00 pm - February 1, 2019 @ 12:00 am NZDT
FreeNicolas Woollaston
Nicolas Woollaston – the sound of prepared transistors. A rare chance to come and hear a local artist and his analogue electronic creations. He will be torturing the transistors until they cry out and beg for more.
Peter Wright
Peter Wright – half Teen Hater – has played an electric guitar for quarter of a century without once learning a Led Zeppelin riff or a Stevie Ray Vaughan lick. Despite these obvious shortcomings Peter has managed to produce a staggeringly large discography of recorded works over the years, as well as performing for (or against) actual paying humans in many locations around the planet.
He currently plays a guitar tuned to open C, fed through a hard working digital brain (laptop), and may also threaten a small keyboard now and then. In his spare time he practices the art of biographical self-depreciation.
His latest offering “Close The Door Behind You When You Leave” is available from his online home.

Whispering City
whispering city combines angular riffery with grey skies ambience
re-combining their curious talents NotV (j-mz robinson) and Crude (matthew middleton) have etched out electro-acoustic noise for a quater of a century
utilizing an arsenal of custom made odd-ball sound implements including a Spade with strings, a shawm, a jews harp, a therimin of sorts and a slew of samples , whispering city awkwardly straddles the genres of industrial, odd-ball lo-fi rock, kraut-rock, cinematic soundscaping, orientalist ambient and club bangers
