Kommi is a Lyttelton-based vocalist who performs exclusively in the Kāi Tahu dialect. Swampy, witchy, dark and humorous, Kommi and their personal onstage tipua aka taipō (supernatural beings/spooks, goblins, ghosts) will transform you with a musical ritual acknowledging life, death, love, disdain, contentment, joy, grief (and angst) and the absurd, embracing unity within non-conformity and tautohe/protest.
