Cam Giddens' solo project Lakeward returns to one of his favourite places in the darkroom to celebrate the release of his EP Skylines, bringing with him a mix of breakdowns, vibes and a whole lot of bass guitar. Joined by the man Dean Gibson on the kit, the pair aim to induce emotional headbanging, as well as obligatory slappa da bass energy. Embankment Tavern 181 Ferry Road Phillipstown on the 7th of Feb (Waitiangi weekend). Starts at 5.30pm and finishes at 12.00pm. Door Sales $25.00 waged $20.00 unwaged, cash or efpos available. The concept of the gig is people who played at the Gladstone in 1981 to people who are still playing music in 2026. There will be original music, some covers, back to 1981 to the future now!!
